Textile products of all kinds have been tightly related to our lives in both practical and decorative ways since ancient times. Other than representing personal social statuses and esthetic tastes, textiles bear ethnic spiritual content and display people's originality in creating.

This exhibition aims to present the heritance and change of traditional dyeing textiles by going through dyeing textiles of Taiwan and Southeast Asia Austronesians. By explaining the production process of traditional dyeing and weaving craft, and classifying traditional textile patterns, this exhibition hopes to present Austronesian's diverse values and art perceptions. Furthermore, the profile of the current textile industry development will be portrayed by introducing some successfully managed tribal craft workshops.
